Excel date formating 1

The following works PERFECT in Access 97 Reports:

=(format(NOW()-31,"mmmm yyyy&quot & " Revenue Results&quot

How can I duplicate it in Excel??? : Deb Koplen

Setup a table of month numbers and names, name tha table's range as "MonthNames" and use the following:

=VLOOKUP(MONTH(NOW()),MonthNames,2,FALSE)&" "&YEAR(NOW())&" Revenue Results"

The table should look like this:

MthNo MthName
1 January
2 February
3 March
4 April
5 May
6 June
7 July
8 August
9 September
10 October
11 November
12 December

 

[ETID]

Hi Guys,

Just reviewed this posting and noticed that BOTH "Shardy" and "ETID" contributed useful solutions - but didn't receive a STAR ...so I thought I should fix that. I'm sure it was just an oversight on the part of "Freckles".
