How can I link a date from a cell in a worksheet to a chart in the same workbook?

In either the title box or an inserted text box...

highlite the existing text press F2 then type = and then click into the cell that you want to reference then press enter.

When I try that, all I get is an =.What am I doing wrong?

My bad...

Highlite the title/text box (with the resize tags)

then F2

then type =sheet1!A1 then hit enter. (substitute your sheetname and cell ref)
