Excel - Changing User Name 1

Good Day,

I have followed the standard help info in Excel '97 in Tools (General) tab with no avail. Still can't change my user name. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Gray.

If your talking about the name in the splash screen, you'll have to re-install the program to change the "owner's name". It is later versions of Office that allows for this change in Tools.

The options open to me in Excel won't change "user name" field in Tools/Options general tab. Thanks Mike and Anne,I probably will have to re-install Excel when I land home again.
