I'm trying to refer to an appendix worksheet (i.e. see appendix 7).

I keep having to insert new worksheets. At the moment I have all the worksheet appendices number 1 to x. The worksheet header refers to the sheet name to number the appendix, but I can't work out a way to refer to the sheet name in a cell.

Also, is there a clever way to do this that wouldn't need me to renumber the sheet names each time?

I'm sure there must be a more elegant solution than the way I'm doing it. Any ideas???

To get the active sheet's name in a cell, just type
=sheetname()
