We're using Office 97 on a new PC running Windows XP Home Edition. With Windows 98 SE we used to be able to email files from Excel and Access 97. With XP, the "Send to" option no longer appears on the File menu in Excel and in Access, I receive an error when trying to send:

"Microsoft Access can't open the mail session."

We're using Outlook Express 6.0

We've trying re-installing Office 97, too.

Any ideas?

Open Internet Explorer. Click on Tools > Internet Options and select the Programs tab. Under Internet Programs. See what is in the Email drop down box. If it's not set to the proper email (I believe you said you are using Outlook Express) set it to the right one.

Yes, it is already set to Outlook Express.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
