Simple question (hopefully)
I have a spreadsheet that has a column which I would like each entry in a large range to have the SAME VALUE. I tried to copy the value and paste it to the selection of all the cells, but Excel(97) only pastes it to the first selected cell. How do I overcome this?

Thanks!

Either drag and autofill or alternatively use the vlookup function.

What type of data you trying to add and is there a criteria

Drag and Autofill... looked it up, and that did the trick.

thanks!

Select the range in question, type the value in and then hit CTRL+ENTER at the same time.
