Excel 2010 adding black background to charts

Excel 2010 is adding black backgrounds to my charts when I publish them as .pdf. A coworker has excel 2007 and does not have this problem.

Is there a way to fix this or is it just a bug in 2010?

I'm using acrobat reader X in case that is an issue.

You don't mention what version of Adobe... is it really X? Sorry, don't know much about it.

I have heard that updating version 6 to 6.0.1 fixes the problem.

the actual version of the acrobat reader is 10.0.1. I'm creating the .pdf from excel 2010.

I googled this but did not find anything, I must be using the wrong words.
