I use Excel 2000 on windows2000. I created a sheet (actually not really that large, A1:AC82) and during my creating it, I colored several cells to make my data easier to read and assemble.

Now that I am done, I wanted to get rid of the cell colors by clicking on "no fill", and an error box pops up and says "Too many different cell formats.".... I can only click OK. Any ideas why and how I can correct this? Some cells will allow me to "no fill" individually, but some, even empty ones, won't.

Thanks in advance!

Anne,

Thank you for the link. I deleted some sheets that the data came from and I eliminated the error. Amazing to me that these sheets could contain 4,000 formats!

Thanks again!,
