Events guide help required please

I am trying to create an events guide.

I would like a calendar which defaults to current month and year and has a text hyperlink to the detail page also a selector to select the month and year.

I have tested various code from diffrent sources on the net but they have no support so that is my aim if possible please.

seems to be what your looking for and should be fairly easy to adapt to pull data from a DB Saturday 12.00
