Hi - we just added a new W2K Server to our NT4.0 network. The application log is filling up with a steady stream of the following 2 events:
Event ID 1010 Source Perflib
The Collect Procedure for the "Tcpip" service in DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\Perfctrs.dll" generated an exception or returned an invalid status. Performance data returned by counter DLL will be not be returned in Perf Data Block. Exception or status code returned is data DWORD 0.
Event ID 1015 Source Perflib
The timeout waiting for the performance data collection function "Tcpip" in the "C:\WINNT\system32\Perfctrs.dll" Library to finish has expired. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call was attempted.
What do these mean and how can they be corrected?
TIA!
