Event sounds for XP

I read a reference to event sound wav files that were included with the beta versions of XP but these same wav files did not make it to the final edition. The article I read said they were better quality wav files and clearer. The article indicated that they were still out there in cyber land for download somewhere but I have not been successful in finding them. Anyone know what I am alluding too?

I found these wav files which are the same named wave files that come with XP and are located in the Media sub directory off of Windows or WinNT. They are clearer I suppose.
