Event on device - list empty

I have an epson scanner installed and last time I used it, when I pressed the start button on the scanner an "event on device" window appeared giving a list of applications from which to chose to send the scan.
But something's happened and now no list appears (the window still comes up)! I've reinstalled the scanner software etc etc but to no avail.
Does anybody know how to manually configure the event-on-device application list ?

Did you try System Restore to get back to a time when your scanner was working correctly?


There is a possible workaround or fix to be tried in this link. It is 2000 related but might work on XP.

I've just tried your workaround but it didn't work. (my system is actually 2000 pro). And reading the other stuff out there it may well be SP3 related as I recently installed that.....

If this is the case then MS will have a lot of unhappy campers out there as it really is a pain now. Another side effect is that when I use Winfax Pro to scan and fax it now acquires an image from my camera instead of the scanner !!!
