Hi everyone. I have a number of servers that I need to enable to the Security logging on for. I know I can go to each server via User Manager and enable it this way, but I have over 400 servers and would like to automate this if possible.

Any ideas/suggestions? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Why not audit access to the domain rather then local auditing? I'm not sure why you need to audit at the local level on ALL servers. There are many valid reasons for doing this. However, in general, people use domain auditing to keep a check on user authentication. I would start with this..and then move to a more ganular approach...

We have a single master domain and multiple resource domains. In the resouce domains there are a number of people in the admin group and those are the people I need to monitor.

The master domain monitoring is fine, but there are a number of servers in our resource domains that ocassionaly get permissions out of whack and the business is requesting I get a handle on all them.

So I have to enable it on all the servers, not just the domain controllers.

Any idea how to automate this? Possibly a reg key I can import to the others? I have NetIQ I can propogate the file out with.

Not sure how to automate this for you... I'm not aware of any resource kit tools to do this..however, there may be one available..I just have no knoweldge of it.. Joseph L. Poandl
