Event Log Erros

I am suddenly getting teh follwing event log errors:

EVENT # 1371
EVENT LOG Application
EVENT TYPE Error
SOURCE Alert Manager Event Interface
EVENT ID 257
COMPUTERNAME pc name
TIME 4/5/2007 10:32:02 AM
MESSAGE VirusScan Enterprise: The update failed; see event log.(from pc IP 192.168.10.34 user SYSTEM running VirusScan EntSv 8.0.0 UPD)

There has not been anything changed on the system so no idea why this woudl be happening.
If i do a manual update it works fine.
