Event ID 9661 in App Log, but IMF NOT installed

Greetings-

E2K3 SP2 on W2K3 sp1. Single Server. Ever since we installed SP2 on Exchange we get this message in the Application Log; sometimes, about once an hour, sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. The thing is, we NEVER installed the IMF, not intentionally anyways. It doesn't show up in the ESM, it doesn't show up in Add/Remove Programs.

Closed thread thread955-1135913 posted exactly one year ago today, details the same phenomena. Creepy.....

Seriously, any help would be greatly appreciated.

SP2 includes an updated version of the IMF, and installs it by default (though it's not configured/activated).

Does this mean that I'm stuck with these 9661 entries in my Application Log? I'd reeeeeeaaaaaaaally like a way to suppress them.
