Howdy!

I'm running BE 9.1. Since our maintenance weekend, I have been getting an error message on one server out of 40 that I backup.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Backup Exec
Event Category: None
Event ID: 57481
Date: 1/4/2006
Time: 6:31:15 PM

Computer: ODOCDC1
Description:
An unusual error (5) was encountered while enumerating the contents of the directory:

\\ODOCDC1\U:\users\xxxx.

It is possible that files or subdirectories have not been backed up. Please examine your job log or catalogs to ensure this directory tree was backed up in its entirety.

However it is not just on the U drive or particular directory. I can actually change the order of the backup and it will fail on another drive, and not allowing the rest of the server to backup.

I first thought permissions due to the security error: access denied, however, when i need to do a quickie backup of the folders that it failed on, it runs successfully. The full job on the weekends run successfully too.

I'm at my wits end!

That is odd... I'm wondering if it halts because there are open files in those directories... in which case you'd have to run a back up with Shadow (i'm dealing with something similar and i'm really guessing so if someone could clarify this - it would be helpful).

I run AOFO on that server considering it is our file server. I'm using the same system acct for that server as I am with the other servers. I did create a new job and it ran fine...until last nite...when i realized i did not put the ofo on. BUTTTTTTTT OFO runs peachy on the fulls. It is crazy!
