Event ID 1188 & 1232

Hi,

I am getting the following event id's in the event viewer: 1188 & 1232. It seems as if my domain controller is having problems replicating from another domain controller. The message I get for event id 1232 is:
"The remote procedure call (RPC) which was being executed by thread id 5f8 has been cancelled"

The message for event id 1188 is:
".... if this condition persists, stop and restart that windows domain controller."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The event id 1188 that i am getting is a little different. The source is NTDS not MSExchange. The whole message i am getting is this:

"A thread in the directory is waiting in a remote procedure call (RPC) to directory ...
_msdcs.mydomainname performing a bind operation. The directory has attempted to cancel the call and recover thread id 5f8. If this condition persists, stop and restart that windows domain controller"

I will have to leave that one in the capable hands of the resident guru's, but always a but it sounds like you are running DNS off another server. If the other server is not a W2K DNS server and is instead a BIND server running a version lower than (I think) 8.2 then it does not support dynamic updating.
