event id 1023 - pop3

Does anyone know what this Event ID 1023 (POP3SVC) means...

Error 0x7da occurred while rendering message 0001-0000001c27c1 for download for user user@DOMAIN.com.

Users are getting them when downloading mail from their POP3 accounts.

We're running Win2K (SP2) and Exchange 2K (SP2).

FYI...

This only happens once in a while. A single email will cause the problem and will fill my logs up with 1023's. To resolve the problem, I go into the persons mailbox and delete the problem message and have the person re-send it to them.

Does anyone know what causes this?

If you have Antigen upgrade it.

If not are you using "Online Zeroing Out of databases" if so disable it.

Nope, we're not using Antigen. I can't find "Online Zeroing Out of databases". Is that in ESM?

Just curious - Xyberton, does Microsoft give you some kind of book or list of some sort that tells you about most of the Event IDs/problems that isn't available to the general public? I had to call MS about a year ago and I gave them an Event ID that looked like it was written in another language and he looked it up in some book or whatever and found the answer in a few minutes. Turned out to be some bug in the software. If you do have such a thing, you can make some good money selling it
