I'm looking for some help with the errors below that I'm getting in m event log. We are running MXP FR3 SP3 on Win2k fully patched. I can't find a solution anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thats not it, but you helped before on that thread and I appreciate it.
I get these errors 3 times each in the event log when i restart the server. At every restart the ica client also seems to try and do an install two or three times, I've allowed it to install and i've also canceled it but neither seems to work as it still trys to run an install after every reboot.

All help is appreciated, thanks.

Do you the Group Policies to push software installations?

Have you repackaged the Citrix Client in to a custom MSI file whith your settings in?

I have seen similar before where either of the above are true. More commonly the problem is with custom MSI files - when they detect some components (e.g. .ICA file) they try to install the software again & again & again.

Thanks Mike - I have not purposely done either of those and I'm still stumped by it. If I reboot and then cancel through the install that attempts to run 2 or 3 times all seems to be working fine but I sure would like to make to go away.

ME TOO!!
Yeah, mine are chocked full of the following:

Event Type: Warning

ANY IDEAS???????
How/Where would I troubleshoot this???

Many Thanks!!
Brandon

Hi,

Brandon, try adding:-

UserData REG_DWORD 0x1

To

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Access
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\PowerPoint
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Shortcut Bar
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook

For every user and see if it goes away!

Carl.

Hi Carl-
What will this do... We are using AD's Folder Redirection for users start menu- is this related?

Brandon

is there an easy to do this!!! I've got 13 MetaFrames load balanced among 330 users. How could I use userlogon.cmd to do this?? Any ideas??

THANK YOU!
Brandon

Place a .reg file on each server and then call it from each usrlogon.cmd

Regedit /s ?:\Winnt\YourName.reg

Thats how I'd do it! Saves editing login scripts that could be used in a non-TS environment!

Cheers,
Carl.
