OS: Windows XP Home
Software: Microsoft Works 7.0
Error: Event ID 1000

I know, this isn't an Office product, but I can't find any forum where "Microsoft Works 7.0" is discussed. Still, the question is valid:

Whenever I try to open a Works Spreadsheet (that I was able to open earlier), I get a program error, and need to shut down the program. I can't open it. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Just that spreadsheet or all spreadsheets?

Can other people with the same program open that exact same spreadsheet?

Usually a case of drilling down to a root cause by a process of elemination. If everyone else is fine and can open the same file then what happens if you try opening the file from the same program but from another ID on the same system, eg the guest account. If it's the account then maybe the profile has somehow corrupted. If it's peculiar to the machine regardless of account them maybe the installation is corrupted. If it's peculiar to the file regardless of who tries to open it then maybe the file is corrupted, etc etc

Doesn't matter what the App is, the logic is still the same.
