Make sure your body tag has these arguments:
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
You need leftmargin, topmargin, marginwidth and marginheight to be set to 0 so both IE 4+ and Netscape 4+ take away your margin.

hi,
try checking it by putting a cursor before the table and press <Backspace>. sometimes there'll be and extra line sitting there without you noticing.
