Ethernet / VoIP / PVA card subnet masks

Hello,

When we install SV9100 systems with VoIP I've always been told that the subnet mask set for the VoIP card needs to be set to something different to that of the Ethernet port on the processor card. So for example my processor has a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the VoIP card is set to use 255.255.0.0. Some documentation I've seen from NEC regarding setting up SIP on an SV9100 suggests the same thing.

If the system also has a PVA card installed (GCD-PVAA for example) for hotel PMS etc, does this too require it's subnet mask to be set to something other than those being used by the Ethernet and VoIP ports? Such as 255.0.0.0 for example? We've got very few systems out in the field with PVA cards installed so they're not really something that I'm familiar with.

It's not the subnet mask that needs to be different, it's the subnet so for example they can't both be on the 192.168.0 network but they can all be 255.255.255.0 (/24) subnet masks

I have had the /24 subnet across both interfaces, but as per OzzieGeorges comment the actual IP Subnet the devices talk across must be different. Hence why they come out 172.16.0.10 and 192.168.0.10
