ethernet card problem or anything about network?

Yesterday, and today..
We've got the problem that rs6k-m80 hanging up and even cannot ping. May be server is not hang up, just the console is out and no data transfer signal on ethernet card.

I think it is the problem about network or dns or anything. Actually I added ip aliasing on nic en0 which is used as ip A before. And this new ip address is used for web server operating ip-based virtualhost.

Before this case, I tested on the other server about the same case and had no problem. But thinking about change, the two things are adding new ip on used nic and applying aix 4.3.3 ml09.

Would be grateful if you could give any advice.

If the console (ibm3151?) is hung, I would think you have other problems besides ethernet.

Please maka yourself clear:
Which ping doesnt work ( clients or servers)
Try yraceroute instead of ping, if your aliases are on different logical subnets
