May 26, 2003 #4 jlasman Technical User Nov 28, 2001 685 US If you are creating a shaded box lets say 300 x 700 pixels, you would issue <esc>*c700a300b2P<esc>*c15G The <esc>*c15G specifies a 15% shading. If the intended fill was a crosshatch, then the fill would represent the type of crosshatch pattern rather than the shading level. See the PCL5 Technical Reference.
