g'morning!
We have recently distributed our (VB) EMS software to a few select vendors for some BETA-testing. Recently, one vendor has had a number of installation errors occurring while attempting to install our software and I was wondering if I can tap into everyone's knowledge base to enlighted me (us) on this vendor's OS. He's running "Window's XP Tablet Edition" (which I've never heard of). Is this a special version of windows? The errors he's receiving are as follows:
"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\winsock.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\winsock.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX: LoadLibrary failed; Code 193. %1 is not a valid Win32 application. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to Proceed anyway (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation."
We haven't seen these types of errors during other installations of our software. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks!
