What can one do to prevent those errors on drives (C,D,E,etc)? They can be fixed with scandisk but it is very annoying. They always come back from day to day.
Define errors on drive... What are you seeing? Also, this is an antivirus forum. Frequent disk errors is indicative of a user not shutting down properly, or a drive starting to go away...

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
Errors on a drive are what Scandisk detects and corrects after a computer freezes, crashes. Most often, my PC freezes when trying to connect to my Internet server via ordinairy phone line or when booting. I have W98. I apologize for choosing the wrong forum.
