I have two network cards attached to my SBS2000 server. One goes through a "GlobeServer" to collect mail and the other bypasses this server and connects directly to the internet. The problem I am having is that Exchange server is trying to use the 2nd card (the one the goes directly to the net) instead of the one connected to the "GlobeServer". Everything works fine if I disable the second card. However, when the 2nd card is enabled I get the following error message in the event viewer:

"An error occurred during a POP3 transaction to host...., The error is 1232"

Is there a way to point Exchange Server to the 1st network card while the 2nd card is still enabled?

Hope this makes sense.

Maybe changing your binding order will help. Pull up the Property sheet in My Network Places and choose Advanced > Advanced Settings to make changes to the binding order. Hope it helps.
