I have a FE that I linked to a BE using a relative path. Some of the people now need to use it who are mapped differently. I seem to remember using the UNC to do this once in the past, but when I tried to change:

S:\Projects\DbBE.mdb to
\\Chsisf02\VOL1\Shared\Projects\DbBE.mbd

I get this error message:

the folder '\\Chsisf02\VOL1\Shared\Projects\DbBE.mbd' isn't accessible. The folder may be located in an unavailable position, protected with a password, or the filename contains a / or \.

I'm sure that I'm not miskeying the path. TIA

Hi!

Go ahead and relink using the wizard. Just start out with My Network places or Entire network from the dropdown box at the top. You should be able to navigate to your server and file from there and Access will automatically build the path for you.

\\Chsisf02\VOL1\Shared\Projects\DbBE.mbd

the folder '\\Chsisf02\VOL1\Shared\Projects\DbBE.mbd' isn't accessible.

I think I see the problem.
