error when tring to create exe

i just got a new machine with xp. after 3 days i finally got my app and all it's additional tools loaded and working in XP (runs great in the ide) but when i try to build the exe i get through the compile and when the writing exe comes up i get a

system error &H8007007F (-2147024769). procedure could not be found.

this appears in a window where my only choice is ok. and the compile process quits. i have no idea where to start looking to try to fix this. anyone ever have anything like this i would greatly appreciate any info on how i can repair this problem

Sounds pretty serious.
Have you tried switching off the "Compile on demand" option and then run it in the IDE?

I know that this is NOT what you want to hear but, I was having a similar problem if not the same one. I could develop on XP with no problems but I could not get the project to compile properly and the exe from the installation package never worked properly. I would move to a win 2000 machine to do that part of the project. Eventually this got tiresome and I switched my development machine back to win 2000. No problems since.

I had all the latest updates and service packs and spent a few weeks trying to find an answer. Obviously I didn't find the answer.
