Hi! For some domains, I get emails I send out returned by outlook xp. I believe this message is coming from outlook itself. here is the error message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: you might find this funny...
Sent: 12/3/2002 7:01 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'someone@bellsouth.net' on 12/3/2002 7:01 AM
553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

I know the email address is good. I can send fine from my hotmail account, but outlook won't let me send it from my pop3.

I was wondering if anyone knew where the list of allowed rcpthosts was and how to delete domains from it or a way to NOT get this error message when I send emails to certian domans.

I don't think it's from Outlook, but from your mail server, recipient's mail server and/or mail 'washing' settings on recipient's computer.
The server may have some problems from time to time, as for the other explanation:
To prevent spammers from flood you with junk email, you can have some sort of software (like MailWasher) bounce back the message as if you didn't exist on the net. At the same time, you read the message all right. But the sender gets a 'Mailer-Daemon' error that you were unknown, or had fatal errors and so on. And spammers would have a hard time deleting such errors from their machines (would they spam themselves?) [lol]
