Okay, here's the error I get.

"Instruction at 0x77fcc39e referenced memory at 0x13017800. The memory could not be 'written'"

Whenever I'm running any applications I would get that. Its actually not my PC i'm just helping fix the problem, but the owner said it would restart after that error, but when I messed w/it it didnt restart. I guess I'm good like that, haha, j/k.

Any ideas?

If this error is thrown for a number of applications, this newsgroup article by Paraweswaran is suggestive:

From the newsgroups:
These kind of issues are possible if the files are residing in a FAT filesystem and after an upgrade with the file system as NTFS. Try the following: move the files to another NT machine with NTFS/FAT partition - open them and save them - then try to open in the upgraded system. Please let me know the results.

looks like memory problem.....try to swap out the ram or remove each and every one of them and test them....

Generally, this error has nothing to do with a hard RAM problem. It in Win9x was called a General Protection Fault. The application is attempting to write to a memory location it does not own.
