Error when attempting to add an email address

Running MS Exchange ver 5.5 on NT Server 4.0 sp 4.

When attempting to add an email address receive the following error:

Error: An error occurred during file replication. Unable
to find a file with the correct version number. To view
details of the error, see the application event log in the
Windows NT Event Viewer on the Microsoft Exchange Server
computer. occurred during address generation.

The event log lists the error as follows:
-
The file version of '\address\X400\i386\x400prox.dll' installed on the local server is not current. Unable to locate a correct version on any server in the site.

Any thoughts on what the problem might be?
