error SCH6405 when CLS is changed to CNDA on 500 set

Could someone explain why do I get error SCH6405 when I try to change CLS to CNDA on 500 set (M1 61C).
The system wants me to make the set wireless.

indicates that a CLS value of CNDA requires WRLS to = YES. This is for Companon or other Meridian wireless sets

You will also need the CLASS Modem card because the NT8D09 will not pass CLID.

However, it's not a wireless set. It's an analog set with a display.
Why would it do that?
