I think i have or had a Klez virus on my system, and i think I deleted all virii by using bullguard.
I also deleted the System32.exe file which was infected by the virus which porbably came with a KaZaa file that I was downloading.
But when i start XP Pro, i still get an error saying that it cant find System32.exe, yet the file name is nowhere to be found within the registry or win.ini file...any ideas?
I already deactivated the system restore and scanned my pc with bullguard again, but the operating system keeps searching for the System32.exe file that i have deleted!
I'm totally desperate.....guys can you help me out with this?
Thank you..

Howdy:

The missing file is part of the virii.. You don't want it !!!

Sure would have been nice to get the exact vaiation of Klez, but go to the following url and read about and download the removal tool..

Follow the directions EXACTLY !!!

Hi guys,
thanks for the reply,
but unfortunenately it didn't work.
What should I do?
By the way, what do you mean by system.ini
and how can I check it?
I hope you guys can help me out...
Thanks a lot!

Your fist post says that you checked win.ini for references to that file. Another place that you should check is system.ini. What method did you use to check win.ini? Use that same method to check system.ini.

Try running the removal tool in safe mode.
