I'm running a G5 with OSX and am having issues with Quark Express (I think the latest version). When I'm working on a file and have saved it 2 or 3 times, when I try to save it again it says that the file is already open. So when I try to do a save as it just gives me an error. Has anyone else run into this problem? I deleted the file in preferences and reinstalled the software and still have the same problem. Does anyone have any other idea or insight into this issue. Thanks

Are you running Norton Antivirus or Systemworks? I had this problem with Quark but it disappeared when I uninstalled Norton.

Same problem - G5 running Quark 6.0 - on Panther. Can't "save as", it gives me a "File already open [-47]" error. Anyone know how to fix?

NEVER MIND - I JUST TRIED TO SAVE ANOTHER ONE, AND SAME ERROR. (with FontAgent Pro still not running)!!!

I am not running AntiVirus or anything other virus protection.

ugh.

Are you creating the files on the Mac or are they running down a network? What kind of server are you running? Are you updating old version 5 or 4 files?
