It pops up when I try to run or compile the code. what does this mean? I am trying to build a control for an external device. I have the UserControl_Init, _Read and _Write subs written along with some Let/Get blocks. Is there a specific error I should be looking for or is this a general type error? I'm new to ActiveX stuff if that helps the diagnosis. Thanks.

Ah, yes, that keeps happening to me. What you need to do is open the usercontrol object (so you see it in design view) and scroll down in the property box until you find Public - False. Change this to True and then try compiling your code again!
