Thanks in advance the compelete message is:

the Following error occured: you can't set the Enabled property after printing has started

Try setting this property in the OnOpen event.

I am running a access 97 application. This portion of the program occurs after the report is selected and run. It is being viewed on the screen the users then want to print the report. then then click on a toolbar with an icon of a printer. this icon launches a small macro called "print" In the print macro there is one line

macro name Action Command
&Print RunCommand Print

Now this works fine on access 97 and access 97 runtime but I have a problem on 2000 - 2003 computer I get the above message and a print of of a previous screen.

Any suggestions. is there something in options that will need to be set. and how can I trap this error or in the Macro pause the program until the priting is complete.

Thanks folks

Look at the report module in a code window. See what code is out there trying to run (might even be in the OnOpen event, sine I believe this will re-run when you choose to print).

Sorry I never got back to you, Yes it was in the onopen event. it was rerunning the whole thing. wasn't needed and just took processing time. Thanks and again sorry it took so long to get back to you
