Hi,
whenever I open a .txt file it comes up with the following error.

Cannot find the file 'D:\Stuff\stuff.txt'(or one of it's components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

The funny thing is that the file opens up anyway, it just minimizes down the bottom and then this error pops up. I click OK and can use my file no probs. So why does this error come up when I double-click on any .txt file? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What program are using to open the txt file? Try opening it with a different program. Wordpad and Notepad can both be used. MS Word or any word processor will open it.

Let us know which program is causing the problem.

Hello theKeyper,

Check you file association with .txt file and check the cmdline for the default action (probably "open"). Should not happen like that. Either cmdline been alternated inadvertently or virus in action.
