Can anyone tell me please what this error msg means.
I am trying to install Photoshop7 and am getting stalled with this msg.
INS5576 caused an invalid page fault.

Here's a fix.

****Rename your WINDOWS/TEMP directory. Double click C:. Double click on WINDOWS. Find the folder called TEMP (you may have to press "show all files").Right click on TEMP and rename it to TEMP2.

****Delete the MGI folder from the install drive. The default location is your C:\programfiles\MGI\MGI Photosuite III. If you have installed it to a different location, you will have to delete from your custom install directory. Delete the entire Photosuite III folder. If you have saved any of your own photos to this directory, copy them out first.

****Delete the MGI registry entries. Goto START, RUN, and type REGEDIT. Press OK. Double click on HK_LOCAL_MACHINE. Double click on SOFTWARE. Double click on MGI. Right click on PHOTOSUITE III and press delete. Double click on HK_CURRENT_USER. Double click on SOFTWARE. Double click on MGI. Right click on PHOTOSUITE III and press delete.

****Restart your computer.

****IMPORTANT: Close all programs before attempting to install or run the program. Please make sure that you are not running any memory resident programs such as Virus Protection or System Monitoring Utilities (System Doctor, First Aid, PC Medic, Watchdog, crash protection, download managers, etc). Please be sure you are not using any memory managers, or desktop video enhancement programs. Disable any such applications before continuing.

****IMPORTANT: Try to boot up with as minimal a configuration as possible. You may press Control-Alt-Delete once to end task all unnecessary programs. We recommend end tasking all programs except for Explorer and Systray to determine if there is a conflict between Photosuite and another program that may be running in the background.

If you are using Windows 98, try closing the Windows Task Scheduler. You can do this by double clicking on MY COMPUTER, double click on SCHEDULED TASKS, goto ADVANCED, and click STOP USING TASK SCHEDULER. Now reinstall the program and try to run it again.

INS5576 is some type of Install Shield error.
Try changing your screen area in display settings
to 800x600. Then try install again. If you are trying to install it from a DVD Drive and you have a CD-ROM drive, try installing it from the cdrom drive. I know it sounds dumb but give it a try.
