I keep getting
[ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] invalid character value for cash specification on column number 10 (QOH)

This is a template that's been used for almost year and now I am getting this and can't figure it out.

You can see the results in the query editor in Excel
You can run the query from Access

no problems there but trying to import or refresh ... it's not working

Hi,

Cash in QOH (Qty On Hand I'm guessing)???

And WHY is there a cash character in a numeric column in your text file???

And why not just query the data DIRECTLY from Access in Excel rather than going thru the interim export/import process???

oops - it says "cast"

It's an Access query and using the Import Data function in Excel is when I get the error.

I don't understand it. It's never happened before and the query results are the same in Access and in the MS Query from the query editor in Excel BUT when you go to run it (REFRESH) and it connects, it errors on that column.

Yes, on the QOH (Quantity On Hand)

thanks!

I'd check the data in that column in Access.

thanks but as noted, the queries run fine and the data set is fine in both Access and from Microsoft Query within Excel.
