Every time I shut my PC down, it hangs on the "windows is saving your settings" screen, the only way to overcome this is to reboot. After looking in the Event Viewer I noticed the two following error messages,-(The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service depends on the following nonexistent service: LanmanWorkstation) and - (The IPSEC Services service terminated with the following error:
The authentication service is unknown. )
Can anybody tell me if these errors are the cause of the hanging? if anyone knows could they please advise me on how to correct the problem? Many Thanks

Way to tell would be to clear all events and reboot and look BEFORE the shutdown to see if the events are there.
There's your answer.
