Error message when trying to use a Wizard

When ever I try to use the report or query wizards, I get an error stating "Active X is unable to create the object". I've checked out Microsoft's site and my help files, but can't find anything on how to fix this.

Can any of you shed any light on this? I'm using Windows 2x OS and Office XP.
