I have an Opti Plex GX260 with Windows 2000Prof. the error message as follows:
***Stop:0X0000000A(0X00000000,0X00000002,0X00000001,0X8042C24F)IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal Address8042C24F base at 80400000,Date Stamp 4344ec59_NTOSKRNL.exe

I know it has to do with the boot.ini file. I have tried to repair with the the W2000 disk, with W2000 Svp4 disk and we do not have a reboot disks. I have tried the Microsoft Knowlege base without any results. Does anyone have an answer on how to reinstall this file? Thanks,

An 0x0a error is unlikely to be related to your BOOT.INI file. It more typically indicates a hardare or hardware driver failure of some king.

Test your hard disk first. Most drive manufacturers offer a bootable floppy image including a diagnostic utility:

fujitsu

IBM and Hitachi

Maxtor/Quantum

Samsung

Seagate

Western Digital
