I have created a database that several users access through our company's network. There are several forms in this database; each form has buttons that I created through the Command Button Wizard.

One of the users is getting the following error message window when she attempts to 'click' any of these buttons:

***********************************************************
The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error:
Method or data member not found

* The expression may not reult in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or [Event Procedure].
* There may have been an error evaluating the function, event or macro.
***********************************************************

Please advise.

Thanks.

i just had that same message today!

I think i highlighted the OnClick event, cut, then saved and closed the form, went back into the form, and pasted the code back into into. It might be with the
Private Sub mybutton_Click()
part of it. But if she is the only one and it doesnt happen for any one else?? Do you have a front end that didnt get updated?

Hey adamroof,

I suppose this can be defined as a client/server type application whereby the "client" part is the MS-Access application on the users' PC; the back-end is the Access application on the server. So to answer your question, there is not really a common front-end application shared by all users.

Now the user in question has frequently transferred data dumps from our mainframe system to MS-Access; she has also been doing pass-through queries as well. I am thinking this problem is specific to the MS-Access application on her PC (i.e. her setting/properties have been modified and they are different than everyone else's). Any thoughts to this?

Thanks, SG21
