error loading explorer.exe 1

hi all!

i recently got a hold of an old packard bell (windows 95)to experiment with. but when i tried to boot it up i got the message: error loading explorer.exe - you must reinstall windows

so naturally i went to microsoft's knowledge base and sure enough i found the message and a corresponding solution

and what do you know - the solution does not work!

can anybody help?

format your hard drive and start from scratch.

Hi,
i have Windows 98SE and is infected by the virus Kuang.
Then i installed Norton antivirus which tried to get rid of this virus.
At the end of the process i got the following message: error loading explorer.exe reload windows.
How do i recover? and how to reinstall Windows?
