error loading C:\Progra~1\newdot~1\newdot~1.dll

I upgraded a pc from Win98 to W2K Prof. now the user receives this message everytime she turns on the pc:
error loading C:\Progra~1\newdot~1\newdot~1.dll the specified module could not be found
She clicks ok and it goes away, everything is working fine, but I would like to get rid of the message.
any ideas?

This is a remnant from spyware removal (NewDotNet, specifically).
Since WIn2k does not come with msconfig (the easy way to remove it from startup), I suggest a freeware/demo app such as this:

http://www.rayslab.com/startup_manager/startup_manager.html

Use the tool to remove the entry from startup and you won't see it again.
