Hi all,
I get the above error, but IIS *is* installed, and every role available is installed as well.
The IIS server is Windows Server 2008 32-bit. I'm running VS 2008 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.
Again, the three things it tells me I need are:
IIS
IIS 6 Metabase and IIS6 Config. compat.
ASP.Net
(It also blathers on about "Run As Administrator", but I'm already doing that--in the way it stated).
All of the above are installed, and IIS is started. For kicks I put a small "hello world" html file in the inetpub/ and called it and it displayed on my Win 7 machine--so at least some lights are on and somebody's home. But I feel like a trick-or-treater at 8 PM--nobody's answering the door.
Is there some security setting I have to loosen up in order for my machine to talk to this server?
Thanks very much.
