Error FIJI005

I started to see this error on monday (FIJI005 RING 0). I was able to find a older post with the same issues. It looks like the resolution was to reset the fiji card. Is there a procedure to this, and should it be done after hours? Thanks for the help

You can stat as shown below, unless you are getting complaints, I would wait until after hours for reseating the FIJI.. I would disable the ring and card and then reseat it.... You may also have a bad FIJI card!


FIJI0005 Recover failed on Ring 0/1.
Parameter 1 = Ring Number.
Action: Check for failure reason:
1. STAT RING S
Make sure all FIJIs are up.
2. STAT ALRM S
Make sure no LOP, LOS, LOF, BER, or TXIP alarms are on and that the NEWK
and NEWZ values are correct.
(See FIJI0010-0016 messages)
3. After all alarms are cleared:
a) RSET - Wait for ring audit to bring the rings to the proper state, or
b) RSTR
Severity: Critical. Critical to Monitor: No. SNMP trap: Yes

Thanks I did a stat on alarms this is what I found, how do you clear the alarme?

FIJI 0 0 :
(KBYTE) RECEIVES FROM
(ZBYTE) RECEIVE IS CONNECTED TO 01
LOP 1
FIJI 1 0 :
(KBYTE) RECEIVES FROM 00 01
(ZBYTE) RECEIVE IS CONNECTED TO 00


.stat alrm 1

FIJI 0 1 :
(KBYTE) RECEIVES FROM 00 01
(ZBYTE) RECEIVE IS CONNECTED TO 01
FIJI 1 1 :
(KBYTE) RECEIVES FROM 00 01
(ZBYTE) RECEIVE IS CONNECTED TO 00

I dont think those are bad... I would suspect a bad Fiji at this point, order a spare and replace it

Just to let everyone know what I did to resolve this issue. I disable and then enable the FIJI card. This has cleared the issue.
