When my user try to map the report to his local database, he got an error message: Bad user specify key expression. He click ok than he got another error message: Error Detected by Database DLL. The database is Goldmine and Crystal report version 8. The report was created against an identical database. Can you please tell me what might have caused this errors? Your help is greatly appreciated.

i am no expert but i also had this problem. I thought i was using two identical databases. we use two servers(a main server and a test server). both servers are supposed to be identical but sometimes when the databases are copied over not everything copies. so what i am getting at is that one of the views did not copy over to the test server and that is why i was getting that same error. so even though you think they are identical they may not be so you might want to double check that

MrSR,
Thank you for response. The report was created with two tables: Contact1 and Contsupp. The user just send his database files to me. When I map the report to the files he sent, the first message came up: xBase Warning: Memo file could not be opened for file. I click Ok. Second message: Error opening file: File could not be opened: Contact1, at file location: (the path where I store the database files). I click Ok. Next message came up:
Cannot open database
Error detected by Database DLL.

The database files were export out from a Goldmine DB. I try to import contact1 table into Access to troubleshoot but I received a message indicate that External table is not in the expected format and when I try to import Contsupp table I got this message: Cannot locate the requested Xbase memo file??? Do you have any idea why I get these message? Thanks for any input.
