Error Copying Avaya CenterVU Designer reports from v14 to v9

When trying to copy a designer report from an Avaya CenterVu V14 server to a V9 server I receive the following message: "Warning: The selected report could not be identified as a report file. Copy process aborted." I am using this process to copy to the V9 server: Copy from a pc file to a CMS server. (The file is saved as .rep format on my pc). Wondering if anyone can verify if it's possible do this or if it might be a backward compatability issue?
